• Situated like a jeweled necklace against North Carolina's southernmost stretch of coastline, the Brunswick Islands total 45 miles of sugary beaches. Located midway between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, S.C., these beaches - Caswell, Oak Island, Holden, Ocean Isle and Sunset - are considered the northernmost points of the subtropical climate.
